The thirteenth Annual Children's Miracle Network Ronald McDonald
House Race will be held on Saturday, May 3, 1997, in Iowa City. The
race includes a 1 mile walk/run at 8:30 a.m., a 5k walk/run at 9:15
a.m., and a Kid's Run for 3,4, and 5 year olds. All proceeds from
the race will benefit the Children's Miracle Network in support of
the Iowa City Ronald McDonald House. The nonprofit Ronald McDonald
House serves as a "home away from home" for families of seriously ill
children receiving medical treatment in Iowa City. For additional

3rd Annual University of Iowa Cancer Center Celebration of
Survivorship

University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics
Mark your calendar to attend the 3rd annual University of Iowa Cancer
Center Celebration of Survivorship! This reception will be held on
Sunday, June 1, 1997 from 2:00-4:30 p.m. at The University of Iowa
Hospitals and Clinics on the patio of the John Colloton Pavilion.
All people living with cancer are invited to join us in this
celebration of life. Last year's event was enjoyed by many cancer
survivors, their relatives, and friends. Members of the Clinical
Cancer Center nursing and medical staff will be in attendance. Also,
there will be music, clowns, refreshments, and a panel discussion of
survivors touching on the issues involved in surviving cancer. For
