Clinical Sx:
Recurrent infections

Etiology/Pathophysiology
congenital

Pathology:
Bronchial atresia is rare and usually benign condition resulting from atresia of a bronchial segment.

Miscellaneous

Imaging
Armstrong et al. describes a characteristic triad of findings:
1) Localized central mass density representing mucoid impaction in the bronchusdistal to the atretic segment.
2) Emphysema of the affected segment due to post obstructive causes.
3) Hypoperfusion of the affected segment as indicated by paucity of vessels in the segment.

DDX
Intra mass/bronchial carcinoma
Mucoid inpaction due to other causes
